IC/OOC Business Webpages

@idea from Rominiov

I think that there should be an option for IC business owners/employees to create OOC webpages to be viewed in conjunction with the game.They should be allowed to contain moderate amounts of information, that isn't harmful to gameplay and can't be construed as cheating - such as name, location, what they do, etc.

That's a pretty good idea, though it would be hard to 'police' such web pages.  However, since this has been suggested for the maps and is currently used for NLM Terminals, perhaps they could be created, sent to the admins, and put up by them.  That may be inconvenient, but it would prevent any chances of cheating or simply information slipping out by accident.  Ah well.  Just my thoughts on the subject.
One problem: We can't maintain the ammount of work we have now. So unless you want to put us all on sallery, were not taking on any new responsibilities.

And it's not allowed is for exactly that reason: We can't police it.

What if we just pay you all in big fat sloppy KISSES?!

hehehehehe, ok sorry. :cool:

Yeah, but who'd wanna kiss them? I mean if you kiss one admin you have to kiss them all.
I wonder if when the matrix is coded, you'll be able to rent virtual space for a 'website' of sorts….Maybe just an advertisement on a wall (look e) it reads "BLAH BLAH BLAH!"

Fan sites are permited...but it couldn't be used for IC purposes...

As the team and many of the players know, SD evolves. Things don't just spring up and we are content to let stuff not be perfect or as we'd like it to be for months and years at a time. As this is a hobby, this is the route we (maybe just me) feel is the best for our growth.

Eventually, I'd like there to be corporate websites served through the quickterm devices that are powered by matrix nodes, being the so-called 'public face' of the corporations. It will take us some time to get there, but get there we shall.

You'll begin to see the first step toward this soon with some changes to the quickterm.

We're not in a rush.
