As for the bugging, I agree that making the ENTIRE node unusable might be a bit too much.
Maybe instead it could take one section of it and scramble it around and sits it to be error colored with a text above and below it that says something like Error 69: This command failed to render.
Or something along those lines. It just picks one of the node brlang commands and screws with it.
NPCs defacing nodes could also be a fun thing to see but I like the idea of deckers having some alternative to running crates for cash. If an NPC defaced a node, I don't believe that that would count against a PC deckers max weekly earnings since it's like a PC would have to hire out of their own pocket, someone to fix their node which also feels a little unfair to that PC node owner.
g bugs search - Search for nodes that need repair.
g bugs probe (node) - Display the relative challenge of the bug on a node, maybe in comparison to your own skill.
g bugs debug (node) - Attempt to resolve a bug on a node.
