I don't know if it's possible, but I think it'd be great if somehow you could charge programs into nodes, so that when someone else opens up that node they can attempt to use the program built into it.
A great example would be the #node-content-search command. If a decker built this into a node and it generated X number of charges like it normally does, and then someone else looks at that node and inputs the content they want to search, it performs the search.
Edit: As for scans, I think it would make the most sense to use scans from the connecting device, not from the deckers device. And in this way, it becomes totally viable to download ICE off of the grid, as an example.

You'd have to have a way for the decker to recharge the program, but it could be a great way for more anonymous decker services while simultaneously potentially incentivizing additional activity on the grid.
