Segregate "Where's the party at" chatter
A mixer just ain't gonna get their ass into Blue

I think it would be neat if the "Where's the party at?" chatter was broken up by sector. The chatter is really helpful when looking for RP, especially on newer characters, but I feel like the utility decreases when a bartender on Red suggests that a restaurant in Blue is the most hopping place in Withmore. Conversely, most corpies likely won't care that Red's is hopping when trying to figure out if more RP might be found at Grunen's or KMB.

My suggestion would be to have the bartender's "Where's the party at?" chatter split up so bartenders from Red report on Red, those from Gold and Green report on Gold and Green, and so on for Blue and other similar regions.

I disagree on the exact distribution (Red tenders should speak on Gold, because loads of mixers go to bars on Gold) but otherwise I think this is broadly good.
I think it'd be cool if rather than delete this, they mention it in a sort of derogatory way based on location. Maybe Gold would be a bit more ambivalent or vague about their feelings on the location. Itd be great if good ol Amy mentioned she heard the suits were recovering from their TPS reports at Grunen's or spending their quarterly allotment of children's tears at Le Peche. There's far less bars on Green and Blue, but even still itd be fun to hear about the mixer filth shoved like sardines drowning their sorrows in tig ol bitties at the O.

You do get some fun interplay when they mention irrelevant locations. That VS lobby is fire, man. *pulls pin*

Also, I know some attacks have been strategically targeted based on this info. In removing it you might remove some of that rp opportunity. :P

I like knowing where the parties are happening on either sector. It shows that the world is bigger than just the sector one is currently in. Also, it's pretty rare that there are multiple parties going on at the same time, and in these cases, the bartenders usually mention what's happening on multiple sectors anyways.
I think maybe having the NPC make mentions by sector could be helpful. I.E. The NPCs in Red will always mention Red but only mention other sectors if they actually have people.

So if that PC likes hanging in only one sector, they know whats going on but still get info about other sectors.

Example:

JoeBaka: "Where the party at?"

BarBitch: "Hey Sugar, I hear that The Dive Bar here on Red is hopping. I've not heard of any other parties, though anywhere else."

Example 2:

JoeBaka: "Where the party at?"

BarBitch: "Hey! You're already at the best club in toen here on Red. I did hear, however, about some bakaboos in CorpoClub on Gold."

Never had an issue with them mentioning locations outside of the Sector because where things are is quite easy to find out, or at least prompts you to ask.

"I heard there's a large gathering at the VS Elevator Lobby" is something I LOVE hearing because it always gets people to question what is going on there!

I agree however that it'd be a great idea to have more defined reactions cross-sector.

Based on what I've read here, I think a revised suggestion would be to either:

A) Limit the "range" of the knowledge to adjacent sectors. Red bartenders would know about Red and Gold. Those in Gold would know about Red, Gold, and Green. Those in Green would know about Gold, Green, and Blue.

B) Remove Blue from the knowledge of Red sector bartenders.

For a bit of background, this idea came to me after my character asked a bartender in Red "Where's the party at?" and was told about a gathering going on in some hoity toity dining venue in Blue. Like, really, how would a random bartender in a Red sector dive know about that? And even if so, why would they think some random walk-up to their filthy bar top would care?

I'm fine with stuff on Blue being separated, but making it so people in Red don't hear about parties in Green is just going to kill topside life even more than it already is. Hard pass on that.
You want to not know when there are ultra wealthy meatbags in highly flammable clothes clustered tightly in the poshest place in the game?
