E-NOTE V7

A new version of the e-note has been released into the wild. This is a partial retcon. All e-note 5s have been updated to e-note 7s. The 'partial' bit comes from everyone has been 'fade to blacked' having exchanged their e-notes with whomever for this new version.

The new e-note is no longer backed by disk, it is backed by SQL. This comes with a few changes. E-notes are now directory-enabled devices that have the ability to create and manipulate directories as files.

Performance has generally been increased, editing features improved, and some quality of life fixes added. All of this is now using very modern, updated code. This is a huge deal because new systems will be using memory modules and systems like the ones added to e-notes.

Additionally, all data has been migrated over to the new e-note system, so nothing should be lost.

SELF-INCINERATING PRINTERS

Printers when they run out of paper will now dramatically eject themselves from your e-note, and in a final fuck you, incinerate themselves before hitting the ground.

Littering is a crime, citizen.

ATTACH/DETACH ENOTE WORKING

It is now possible to attach/detach things from e-notes.

E-NOTE MV COMMAND

Added 'mv', a command for moving files around e-notes. Added help filesystems, which explains the file path syntax.

All the bricks are laid out to enable multiple filesystem support on single devices, so the ability to move files between memory modules is on the horizon.

BURNER MODULES

I've added optical chits called burner modules. These are one-use optical modules you will soon be able to find that perform a one-off function, or have a one off file they can deliver. Find out more in game!

E-NOTE TIMESTAMPS

Timestamps are when a file was last updated on is now present in e-note listings.

RENAME FOR E-NOTE

It is now possible to rename files/folders on an e-note. Rejoice.

FIXED TIMESTAMP FOR NEW FILES

New files now appropriately display the correct timestamp. This isn't technically retroactive, if you are seeing a 2054 or whatever timestamp, that's just a bad cache value, the database is correct and it will eventually fix itself.

MULTI-CHIP SUPPORT

All e-notes now have two slots for e-memory chips.

SECURE WITH PASS

Security for e-notes now accepts a password of 8 characters. This also correctly now uses custom encryption programs if one is available.

MATCH NTH WITH E-NOTE

Memory modules now correctly match with 'nth' when unslotting them.

MDKIR FIXED

The bug I recently introduced with mkdir is now fixed and it works again. Oops tpyo.

E-NOTE MEMORY OVERRUN FIXED

When saving a new file that exceeded an e-note's memory limits, the file was still saved but with no content. This has been fixed, and it appropriately deletes the file in this state.

E-notes with a file that still exists in that way are not fixed retroactively, you will need to delete those files.

PURGING AUTOSTERILIZING SYRINGES

AutoSterilizing syringes can now be purge vials of its contents.

FIXED FIXER KIOSK CARTONS

Some of the fixer kiosks were spawning the wrong carton, giving players a broken object without a name that they couldn't get shit out of. That has been adjusted to give the appropriate carton type instead of an object they were not supposed to have that obviously doesn't work.

REMOVED VEHICLE DRIVEABILITY GUESS

The "you think you can handle this vehicle at x speed" feature at the end of evaluate has been removed. It was not bugged, but it was causing significant confusion for players and is frequently bugged.

You'll just have to figure out if you can drive by driving.

This functionality was broken, the link for each characters pw reset was updated and it should work now.

This wasn't working because a service it relied on was offline, it has been brought back up and it now works again.

RADIOS ADJUSTED

I didn't have time for a full refactor, but I cleaned up a lot of the radio code and I'm pleased to announce the radios sort of work again. Didn't have the time to extensively test them, but the situation should be improved. Enjoy.

LABEL E-MEMS

It's now possible to label e-memory modules.

ENOTE COLOR FIXED

The color command for e-notes has been re-enabled.

DICE V2.0

There is a new type of dice that works with the roll with dice format (for example, rolls 5d20 with dice). You can also conceal/unconceal, peek and reveal your rolls for subterfuge-based games.
