So, some of you might know, for the past 5 years, I've earned SDs rent money by being a code monkey for Xdrive. I've been the main guy behind anything a user touches, making all sorts of gee-whiz features for our customers to be able to use all the stuff they upload to us.

Well, after several long months of negoitations, America Online is now Xdrive's new corporate overlord. I for one welcome them, as I'll have a chance to integrate one of the world's most popular online services with one of the world's best.

So, I guess its official now that I am a Corpie. I'll do my best to make sure I'm part of a company that is a good corporate citizen.

As Iga has said before … we can't all be mixers.

Hah! You get a deductable that comes out of your AOL monthly fee in addition to the $15 dollars per month fee you'll now pay. You can't forget about all those AOL newbz itching to play SD either…it'll be like an orgy of idiocy! I bet it'll smell funny too.

Nada. Gotta be a member to play anything sponsored by them. I used to play a mud called Terris…way way back in the day. Only problem was it was in England...so the price variated based on the exchange rate.

Well, actually, by telling them about SD and giving them a general description, it prevents them from getting to claim I invented it while working for them. I was very careful to protect Sindome. :)
