There has been ALOT of talk about crime. �I've been sitting here for a few hours now, reading this, and there is a multitude of things on crime. �There is only one problem… NOBODY IS DOING ANYTHING!
How do you expect for these things to happen if you don't MAKE THEM HAPPEN? �The GMs aren't here for you to BITCH at to do things for you. �You start something and they MIGHT help you out. �I can assure you they're not going to do it for you.
Therefore, this is what I'm doing. �I've wanted a job in crime for awhile, with no means. �After reading this, I'm fired up to start something. �I want to know how many people are interested. �Post here or use the BGBB Messenger to let me know. �I'm about FUCKING tired of all you people bitching at eachother and not starting anything. �I say, let's START SOMETHING and hope for some GM help. �They're not here to wipe our asses, so let's take it upon ourselves to get this moving, and let them assist us if they approve.
I've said my bit, and I hope I get some good replies, I see great potential for crime, just no incentive to start it.

I don't know about all of you, but I see crime and other shit all the time. Back stabbing…people gaining more power, etc. I can tell you, that alot of people that are my character's friends, might not be in crime, but they have power. Power is greater than money, in my opionion, because usually people buy power with money. I dunno, just a little thought or something.

Of course power is nice, but it usually doesn't come without money. Also, I'm not referring to the solitary people around that scratch their way to the top, I'm talking of a group of people that perhaps rough up red a little for some money, then buy a building and start a business as a front for some operation. I was asking other people if they felt the same way about this as I do, it sounds like alot of fun.

To make that blanket statement about crime and nothing going on based on these OOC boards is simply stupid. There is stuff going on IC. And the comment you made 'about FUCKING tired…blah blah and nobody starting anything', pull your head in. Shit is happening, but perhaps you aren't part of it.

I don't mean that NOTHING is happening, I mean that NOT ENOUGH is happening. I want to make more happen. I know alot of shit goes on, just not the kind I'm talking about. I'm thinking that someone should get some people together and buy a car, start a business as a front, and try to experience the profitabe side of being a high criminal.

Without giving away anything, that stuff -is- going on. And yes, I'm talking about people buying a business. It's just that not very many people know of it, even OOC. Which is the smart way to play it.

Alright, I stand corrected. I didn't know this stuff was going on, but that wasn't my main argument. I wanted to know if there people that aren't involved in these things that are interested. I see a great deal of people talking about it, and although it is going on, as you said, I think that there should be more of it. Think of this as my own little poll: Would you be interested in starting a crime ring? And when I say this, I don't mean your char, because that would be IC info. I mean the people behind the keyboard. To me, it sounds like an intiguing idea.

Okay, I guess I came off all wrong. If I was organizing something here, I would have phrased my post more like "I am interested in starting a crime ring, contact me ICly for details…" That's not what my purpose was. most people on this board have different names than their IC chars. I was merely examining the interest of the OOC entities in something that I found particularly interesting.

why do you narrow minded people assume conflict = combat? Christ, there are a hundred ways to fuck someone over far worse than a simple clone death or perming. Takes more effort, more thought, more finesse!
I'd assume that Iga didn't mean 'go kill everyone you see'. I'd assume he ment 'If someones an asshole, make him pay'. Frame him, black mail him, befriend him, betray him, rob him.
Lots you can do that is a form of conflict. Just put a bit of effort into it.

Yes, there are hundreds of ways to fuck over other players. But there is something wrong with that statement from the get go. I don't play for the purpose of fucking over other players in hundreds of ways, nor do I play to be the richest guy on the block. If I don't splatter another player or fuck them over….am I playing the game wrong?
