Forgive me Johnny for I have sinned

CyberSphere.  I was lured in by the evil hoards, looking for a place better than Sindome.  Oh, it sounded great, a land of many features and more stuff.  But I knew not what I did, knew not what path I trod to…..umm....a bad path.  But now I have seen the error of my ways and ask the forgivness of the gracious admins, who have created the world in which my character lives.  Without you, I would be lost, never to be found.  I'm sorry, I made a mistake, less than an hour in that game and I missed Sindome more than I ever thought possible.  Long live Sindome, the best MOO in the world.

Yeah, so like, this game is a lot better than CyberSphere.  From know on, whenever I am mad at someone, I will type: say CyberSphere you!
Yes, I'm done.  Goes running back to the dome.

what is this CyberSphere yous be speakin of?
I guess you could say that they cater to a different crowd.
Yes, you could say that.  It's another cyberpunk MOL, but not as cool as Sindome.
I played that once. It sucked. I never really got into it like I did Sindome.
And….I'm done.
Hm.  I tried Chiba City MUSH once, but I didn't really enjoy the way it was laid out.  Plus all the spam from the OOC channel was rather nerve-racking.  I still have yet to play CyberSphere, but I heard both good and bad stories about it.  I may check it out sometime, but to be honest, I probably wouldn't be able to keep track of everything that two seperate characters were doing in two seperate MU*s.  Sindome was the first cyberpunk MU* I discovered, and it wasn't very long after my introduction to the genre with SnowCrash.  Thanks to Johnny I now have Neuromancer, and have started saving my money for other purchases.  I just got Burning Chrome not too long ago.  :D  Anywho, I don't know why I just went off on that tangent.  Kinda bored right now I suppose.  ;P  Welp, guess I'll catch ya in the 'dome!
Yeah, CS is pretty cool, and it did help to inspire SD so it deserves praise for that. I went and played around on it once when I found out it existed, but I really didn't find it as appealing as SD. It's just that SD fosters real roleplay, while CS tends to just be hard, and all the characters are the same. There's a lot less of that good deep heart wrenching stuff.  It also seems really hard to get in good contact with the admins, unlike on SD. But I could be wrong about that. I didn't spend much time on it. =)
I wonder if my character from 3 years ago is still sitting in the rental rooms below that one bar….
My opinion isn't welcome, but i'm going to state it anyway because i'm bored, so I came back to these boards.

Most characters on SD seem to hate Cybersphere, though most have not played it. Here's a few points.

1. The playerbase is larger. Alot larger, there's an average of 20 players on 24/7. Naturally, that is going to make it a fostering ground for playerkilling, and all that kind of stuff.

Since it is so large, there is not a sense of community such as in Sindome. Which means if you want to get in quality roleplaying on CS, you'd have to go to someplace other than a bar most of the time.

2. There are interesting characters on there. Most of the 'badasses' are not unique, but it takes alot of dedication and roleplaying to truely make a character standout from a crowd. A crowd where facial scars are the norm, and every gurl has curves.

And yeah, Miriam's right. It is harder to get close to the admin, because they're being bombarded all the time. Something the admin on SD can relate to, but at maybe a smaller scale.

It does have alot of playerkilling though, it's very much harder to survive has a newbie on there unless you play it smart.

Neither is better. Who cares.

CS does their thing…we do ours, we have our players who love what it is we're doing, and they have theirs.

It's true that many of our players play CS and vice versa. That is one thing that the two major MOO's share. A loyal playerbase for people who love the games and love the genere that Cyberpunk.

The reason why (I think) we share so many players is because you get two totally different things out of both of our games.

That being said, I'm closing this topic before somebody says something to piss somebody off.
