Obvious things Newbies should know

Now that I am an outlaw and all I think it is my duty to point out to newbies that there are hardened criminals walking the dome.  These criminals will not think too hard about snapping someones neck for whatever possesions and chyen they might have.

Call me a walrus covered in peanut butter if you will, but given the option between murdering someone in cold blood before stealing their equipment and just stealing their equipment while they sleep, which would make most sense to a 'hardened' criminal? I mean seriously. Mr. Hardened Criminal has a reputation to defend. A reputation for killing people who have never met and never will while they sleep? I reputation for evading anything more dangerous that a 4 year old with a rubber band? A reputation for hurling weak insults at the opposition from as -FAR- away as possible? I think not…

Yes, sleeping on the streets is a risky business, but seriously, killing sleeping newbies is something we expect of newbies and MUD kill-kiddies. OOCly you should know better, ICly there's really no justification for it...

If it's ICly known that exiled citizen Astrophel has been sneaking into Withmore to kill homeless people while they sleep then I very much doubt he would have -any- reputation as an outlaw or hardened criminal. Infact, I think it'd be fairly common gossip that he was a bitter coward, mentally disturbed and widely pitied for his sad attempts to find a pathetically indirect revenge on the people that 'wronged' him.
