WHY IN THE HELL WOULD US AS ADMIN WANT TO TARGET A PLAYER AND MAKE THEIR LIFE MISERABLE ONLY TO END THEIR PLAYING TIME HERE IN DEATH?????!!!!!!!!!!!
I am a GameMaster…I, and others, are here to run the game and keep it moving along. At times we are busy in our lives as well, so being able to RP everything with you all the time isn't possible. EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THE ADMIN STAFF IS A VOLUNTEER!! And we all give our free time to code up the moo, to RP with you, and we enjoy hanging out here too. We're all trying to make a great place for you to play.
NOW! Part of what makes SD wonderful, that groovey fantasy world that we play in for hours, is that it's got some realism to it. I AS A GM have to try and maintain those rules so that 1) there are some concequences for actions. (How sucky would it be if you could do anything without conflict?) 2) there becomes an expectation of how things run. Rules of life in the dome.
Whining, when someting horrible wrong happens, tells me that you don't want me to do my job and simulate the 'life in the dome'. And i don't like people telling me that I shouldn't do my job because they're being affected in a negative way.
I don't want any of you to leave, and I don't want any of you to hate me. But i will not make exceptions. I don't take NPC's out and bash people to death. I don't make situations that aren't completely secure in one ending. and i DO NOT move RP without a reason. If WJF are after you, it's for a reason…not because I felt like pooping on someone.
This is what i expect of you:
You are all beta testers, not to mention the experienced players of the dome. I NEED YOU TO HELP ME set these rules into the dome. That means playing along, not whining and 'suggesting' (not whining) things to me that i can discuss with the other admin. There will be things that are decided that are non-negotiable, that's not being mean, that's having established ideas after long strenuous discussion and agreement by admin.
WJF Has laws...helping me out doesn't mean not having conflict with those laws...it means when a judge does their job SUCK IT UP. Whine all you want ICly...but not to admin. XHELP isn't the Bitch board. You kill multiple Judges yer up for a higher consequence than just CLONE DEATH. And just because you see someone getting away with things doesn't mean they aren't doing a hell of a lot to keep out of reach of those that would apose him/her. So don't whine about some people being singled out.
ALSO i do expect you to play this game, give ideas, help describe, contribute without expectation of some IC reward. You help out cuz you love the game, not so that when you have a year old character that you get special priveleges from us admin. We don't hand the best gear out to people because 'they -deserve- it' we help people out when it benefits RP and is ICly the best solution etc...and WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DECIDE THAT.
So help ME out. If all us admin get is whining then it becomes very hard to log on. We want this game to be fun, and realistic, NOT FAIR. So be a beta tester and help us create this world without crapping on admin. Biting the hand that feeds ya and all that jazz...
