Remember Me
couldn't stop thinking about sindrome

So, anyone played it?

I just finished it and I really, really liked it. It got mixed reviews and for good reasons. Luckily the bad parts of the game didn't bother me as much as they would bother other people, maybe. Its a quasi-platformer, fighter, story driven narrative set in a 2085 Parisian Sprawl. Its story is based around the protagonist, a memory-hunter (an "errorist" who has lost her own memory) who is guided by a revolutionary set on releasing a basically enslaved majority of the population(and will discover her own past in the process). There's a lot of tech, big levels, cool gameplay sequences that allow you to breach people's memories and reconstruct them so that they have different outcomes..hence "errorist". And the whole time i kept thinking, this is Whitmore! hehe

Things I liked:

*Strong female heroine.

*Cool story set in a futuristic Paris. The levels of the city kept reminding me of Sindome. It was pretty awesome. I kept saying, "This is exactly what the O, or Red's, or the Drome would look like."

*Some cool gameplay sequences

*interesting story that keeps you involved.

*emotionally involving, most of the time. There are some ridiculous parts you just have to eyeroll and move on from.

*mostly stellar voice acting

*tons of really cool tech and graphics that you can ogle but not use.

Dislikes:

*way too linear. They created this huge, awesome and beautiful world and then made you follow a frickin' hallway through it. I had to be content at panning the views instead of being able to explore them.

*Combat is repetitive and even though its cool at first i quickly dropped it down to easy just to avoid the hassle of it and enjoy the story instead. All the different levels of gameplay affect are the damage the monsters receive/dole out. It didn't affect how they behaved at all.

*tons of really cool tech and graphics that you can ogle but not use.

*kinda short…like 6-8 hours probably.

Anyone who likes sindome i think would like this game just for the novelty of it. I'd recommend it if you can buy it cheap. I wouldn't pay full price for it.
