The southwest corner of central Red Sector is home to The Gulag, a neighborhood once dominated by Slavic-speaking refugees fleeing the terrible mid-21st Century wars in Eastern Europe and Russia. Today it is populated as much by new immigrants, though it continues to bear the signs of Russian influence, including a strong anti-cloning sentiment and a hostility towards Genetek Revival. It is home to the huge Constantine General Hospital, the Gulag Xchange, and the 100 Rads bar.
The streets of the area are run by The Arteries, but crime and business in the neighborhood is allegedly controlled by the Bratva.
