Japanese Cuisine
food / drinks needed

If some of you are willing / able, I'd like to add some more Japanese food to the game to 1.) give you more places to socialize and 2.) add to our heavy atmosphere.

The work required on my end is small (especially if you do your part right) and the time needed to add these is very brief. Ok, so, I'd like your submissions for various kinds of sushi, udon, sushimi, yaki, sake, tea and curries.

If you don't know what exactly is japanese food, thats ok! This is the future and things could/would of changed. Be creative with what you come up and we can make cuisine that is wholy Sindomian in nature.

Please include the following information:
- name (California Roll)
- height (the length of the longest 'edge' in CENTIMETERS)
- weight (the weight in GRAMS)

Round to the nearest whole gram or centimeter please, no decimals.

Also, be sure to provide the following messages so we can quickly enter them. Partial submissions will be considered last.

@describe $food as "Some really cool food description."
@taste $food is "%T is very plain tasting."
@eat $food is "You open your mouth and take a large bite of your %t."
@otaste $food is "%N %<tastes> %p %t."
@oeat $food is "%N %<takes> a bite of %p %t and %<chews> happily, then swallows."
@poof $food is "You finish your %t and dispose of the remains."
@opoof $food is "%N %<finishes> %p %t and %<disposes> of the remains."
@prepare $food is "You quickly prepare a %t."
@oprepare $food isn't set.

For drinks, please substitute odrink for oeat and drink for eat messages :)

~ J

California Roll - I should think they're about 30 centimetres high and weight about maybe 20 grams per single roll. I don't know I'm bad with metric.
@describe $food as "A small slice of westernized sushi. Rice, avocado, cucumber and synthetic salmon are all rolled up inside a thin sheet of green nori paper.
@taste $food is "The subtle flavor of the synthetic salmon is heightened and enriched by the accompanying avocado and cucumber slices as well as the salty crispiness of the nori wrapper, but it is the strong wasabi that makes your eyes almost water."
@eat $food is "You squirt a small bit of wasabi onto the end of your %t and then take a large bite of it."
@otaste food is "%N smiles as %s <tastes> the subtle flavoring of %p %t.
@oeat $food is "%N <squirts> a bit of wasabi onto the end of %p %t and then <takes> a large bite of it. %S blinks as the wasabi <makes> %p eyes water slightly.
@poof $food is "You pop the rest of your %t into your mouth and wipe your hands clean."
@opoof $food is "%N <pops> the rest of %p %t into %p mouth and <wipes> %p hands.
@prepare $food is You take a out a cold %t and put it on a little plate with a small container of wasabi."
@oprepare $food is "%N takes out a cold %t and puts it on a little plate along with a small container of wasabi."

In the spirit of how cultures tend to screw up other cultures' food (the california roll being one example, and the rice-based poutines of Singapore being another), I present to you..

The Sushi-Taouk!
Roughly 20-25cm long, and weighing in at 150-200g.

@describe $food as "A thickly rolled pita, oozing with white garlic sauce, and bits of shredded vegetable poking out one end, the other end neatly wrapped in wax paper."
@taste $food is "%T tastes and smells quite strongly of garlic and oregano, but beneath one may faintly taste limp, textureless lettuce and something odd, vaguely fish-like."
@eat $food is "You lean in, open your mouth wide and take a bite of %t, as some of the yogurt-based garlic sauce runs down it's side."
@otaste $food is "%N %<nips> a bit of %p %t, keeping it in %p mouth a moment to savour it, then %<swallows>."
@oeat $food is "%N %<leans> in, and %<takes> a monstrous bite of %p %t, chewing as some garlic sauce %<runs> down the corner of %p mouth."
@poof $food is "You stuff the remainder of your %t into your mouth, chewing the slightly tough pita bread edge, and toss the crumpled sheet of wax paper aside."
@opoof $food is "%N %<stuffs> the remainder of %p %t  into %p mouth, chewing the slightly tough pita bread edge, and %<tosses>  the crumpled sheet of wax paper aside."
@prepare $food is "You lay out a sheet of wax paper, and place a pita bread over top, spreading some garlic sauce from a bottle onto it's surface, and then sprinkling some limp lettuce and chopped tomato. You then open up a plastic container and fish out four pieces of generic sushi, placing them in a row over the pita and rolling the entire thing up, waxpaper and all, and securing it with a toothpick."
@oprepare $food is "%N lays out a sheet of wax paper, and places a pita bread over top, spreading some garlic sauce from a bottle onto it's surface, then sprinkling some limp lettuce and chopped tomato. %N then opens up a plastic container and fishes out four pieces of generic sushi, placing them in a row over the pita and rolling the entire thing up, waxpaper and all, securing it with a toothpick."

:biggrin:
